Yarani

Location: Abidjan (Ivory Coast).

Project: Study grants for young people for the Yarani professional training school.

Objective: Yarani is a school for professional training in the hotel industry for young women who have not been able to continue their studies due to their families’ situations of extreme poverty.

Counterpart: Association Education et Développement (EDE).

Beneficiaries: 80 young women per year, and their families.

After two years of study, the majority of these young women enter well-paid jobs in hotels and embassies (more than 90% from each graduation class) or they open their own small catering businesses. The Montblanc Foundation channels contributions and sends its own funding to financially assist the young women.
